The Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards have come and gone, but award season is just getting started. In fact, it’s time for the 2023 Primetime Emmy Awards! Yes, 2023, your eyes do not deceive you. The 2o23 Emmys are airing today, after a months-long delay due to the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA Strikes last year. So, we’re in for a show of celebration and a stellar red carpet featuring all our favourites from TV.
This award season, we’ve been seeing plenty of hosts step up to the plate for the very first time, and the Emmy Awards are no exception. Gracing the Peacock Theatre stage in downtown Los Angeles is comedian and actor Anthony Anderson. You may have seen him in “Black-ish“, “Scary Movie 3” and “Romeo Must Die”.
Among the nominees are some of our beloved and binged television shows from the last year year like “Succession”, “Ted Lasso”, “The Bear”, “Beef” and “Jury Duty”. As for the faces of our favourite shows, Jenna Ortega, Quinta Brunson and Kieran Culkin have been nominated for their work in their respective shows.
If you’re looking to catch the glitz and glam of the Emmy Awards 2023 in Australia, the red carpet is officially underway as of 9am AEDT on Tuesday, January 16 2024, and the award show will be streaming live on BINGE and Foxtel from 12pm.
Unfortunately, the red carpet won’t be streamed live (although it will air at 5.30pm AEDT on 7plus and 7Bravo), but we’ve rounded up the best looks of the nights. From floor length gowns to fresh but dazzling colour pops, the Emmy Awards 2023 red carpet is everything we’ve been waiting for.
